You must be out of town if you haven't heard the news of the day! No, I'm not talking about the healthcare website troubles nor the World Series. Two of our very own LGA gals scored consecutive holes-in-one after consecutive drives on hole #3 this morning! Only the foursome of Kim Sutton, Linda Blair, Bev Shaffer, and Debbie Lewis braved the less than perfect weather conditions, so all the rest of us missed the historic event! Debbie teed off first, while the stunned group watched her ball disappear from view into the hole. After the excitement calmed, Bev hit an identical shot that amazingly followed Deb's path into the hole, too!
Somehow they managed to finish the round and were greeted with cheers by all of us who were attending the nine-hole luncheon. BTW, you missed a splendid lunch and great fun spirited by the morning events...and the champagne purchased by Bev and Debbie to toast and celebrate the event! What a fine ending to a sometimes emotional season! Right, wagglers?
