1. Jeff will paint a drop zone for Hole 15 each week. On that hole, if you land in the water, you may either tee again or move across the water to the drop zone. If you use the drop zone, you will then be hitting stroke #4. If you choose to tee again, you will be hitting stroke #3.
2. Jeff will have a "Rule of the Week" that he will share with each ladies' group during that week. (It takes seven times for something to stick in one's long-term memory, so I will only remember half the rule!)
3. We are instituting the Hole in One Fund. One dollar will be added to your account. If you are playing a round anytime between April and October at BCC with an LGA member and have a hole-in-one, you will win the pot. (Brenda Willenbrink has a feeling that this is her year. Anyone else?)
Of course, as other rule/protocol issues arise during the season, we will toss them to Jeff and/or work them out together. Oh, and we all agreed last night that we must be courteous and sign up on play days ahead of time by contacting the pro shop by your favorite means of communication--phone, text, email, or Morse Code. Dot, dot, dot, dash, dash, dash?
I have looked at the extended forecast, and it does not bode well for our first week of the season. Here's hoping the jet stream changes course before Tuesday. My window for golf weather is narrow: temps above 50 degrees and wind less that 5 mph. I want that flag sagging straight down and motionless!
Would you like me to post winners from each week's play here and on Facebook? Bev, Margaret, and Brenda, if you send them to me, I will do so. Anything else? Be sure and email me info and pics that are taken throughout the season.
Hope to see you next week...
